andysmcnally: Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher were all taken aback by George Lucas’s decided lack of good dialogue skills. They stood up to him-and Lucas, chastened, allowed the actors to basically improvise their own wording for the basic points of the screenplay’s dialogue.
